FAI has reduced its debt by almost 20 million euros, says CEO Jonathan Hill

FAI CEO Jonathan Hill said the association had reduced its overall debt by almost 20 million euros as he made long-term plans to significantly improve investment in games at all levels.
Hill began as chief executive in November 2020, with the FAI in turmoil. He became FAI's first permanent CEO since April 2019, when John Delaney voluntarily resigned following the disclosure of a €100,000 loan he gave to the association.
In January 2020, a €30 million aid package, which includes a government loan and a €20 million grant, is a UEFA grant. and a bank debt restructuring has been agreed to save FAI from potential liquidation.
On Thursday, Hill said. "What happened before 2019 will never happen again," as he spoke to media following the publication of the Facilities and Infrastructure Vision and Strategy document, which the organization said would cost 863 million euros to implement.
